Hey everyone, My name is Genevieve Tucker. This may get a little bit confusing, as my partner's name is also Genevieve as you can see. For our second assignment we were asked to pair up with another contestant from a different province. We are to make a travel brochure describing and showcasing the interesting parts of our hometowns. Thank you fellow Genevieve for asking me to be your partner!
I am from Prince George, British Columbia. Prince George is known as British Columbia's northern capital, as we are the biggest city north of BC. A population of approximately 80,000 and rapidly growing. Prince George sits at the confluence of two large rivers, the Nechako and Fraser.
Prince George is your gateway into northern British Columbia. Located at the crossroads of two major highways, Hwy 97 travelling north-south and Hwy 16, "The Yellowhead" goes in an east-west direction. When people think Prince George, they think snow and an isolated town.
I have no idea who put this in their heads. Prince George is quite large, and is always growing. We have the Countries largest Walmart :) Prince George is surrounded by beautiful wildlife attractions and has many activities for people of all age. Whether you are going to Prince George to visit, or to stay for good, it welcomes all ages. We have work available for everyone as well as education. Prince George is an amazing place to raise a family and live a great life.

Attractions
Fort George Park is a nice place to visit in Prince George. It is Prince George's largest park, covering over 65 acres of well, maintained lawns and overlooking the Fraser River. Right beside Fort George Park is the Fraser Fort Regional Museum which holds artifacts and stories of the early European Pioneers who settled in the region. Fort George park is a fantastic place to have a picnic, watch performances on the stage, enjoy the volleyball and tennis courts, as well as play in the water park.

Our University is remarkable. People from all over the world come to Prince George just to experience our University. Unlike other Universities, UNBC can offer the same education and status as other Universities, but it is located in a more secluded, less hectic place, so students have unlimited opportunities. On campus, recently the sports centre has been built. Our sports centre is absolutely huge! It has four indoor soccer fields, an indoor running track, squash rooms, tennis rooms, a gym, and four indoor volleyball courts, or 2 basketball courts with stands to fit spectators.

To top everything off, and if you are not convinced to visit Prince George yet, then I hope this will change your mind. Prince George is surrounded by forests. It is absolutely beautiful. I am so blessed to have grown up here.
You can drive ten minutes out of town in any direction you want and will end up in luscious green forests. Drive 20 minutes past that and you can find yourself in a huge lake. Drive another half hour and climb up a mountain. They call British Columbia beautiful for a reason, trust me, you would not be disappointed if you traveled to British Columbia. It truely is an amazing place, in an amazing country.
